HOW SOLAR LIGHTING WORKS

Engineered for the Site.
Powered by the Sun.

Commercial solar lighting is more than a panel, battery and fixture. A dependable system starts with the property, the required light levels and the hours the light needs to operate.

THE PROCESS

From dark property to engineered lighting plan.

We start with what the property needs to accomplish, then work backward into pole locations, photometrics, fixture output, operating profile, solar collection and battery storage.

01

Site Assessment

Review the property, use case, obstructions, existing infrastructure and desired operating hours.

02

Photometric Design

Model pole height, spacing, fixture distribution and illumination across the target area.

03

Energy Sizing

Match solar collection and battery storage to the lighting schedule and local solar conditions.

04

Installation

Set independent poles, commission the systems and program the approved operating profile.

WHY ENGINEERING MATTERS

Solar has an energy budget.

The fixture consumes energy. The panel has to replace it. The battery has to carry the system through darkness and lower-sun periods. That is why run time, dimming strategy and local conditions matter as much as fixture wattage.

✓
Light only where needed
Good distribution can reduce wasted output.
✓
Program around real usage
Full output and dimming can be scheduled around the property.
✓
Design for the location
Solar exposure and seasonal conditions are part of system sizing.
WHAT WE REVIEW

Every project has different variables.

Lighting Requirements

Target area, light levels, uniformity, pole height and fixture distribution.

Operating Schedule

Dusk-to-dawn, timed operation, dimming periods and motion-based strategies where appropriate.

Site Conditions

Solar access, trees, buildings, traffic patterns, pavement and installation access.

The goal isn't to sell solar everywhere.

It is to identify the properties where off-grid lighting solves a real infrastructure problem and then design the system correctly.
